General electronic and electrical products, although they must meet different standards, but the main requirements of their testing are:
Inspection of the nameplate, logo and instructions
The main check is to describe according to the standard requirements, such as the official language of the place where the text is applied, so as not to cause misunderstanding.
▎rated input and output (power consumption)
Mainly check whether the input power/current of the product is consistent with the calibration, and whether there is any exceeding the standard limit.
温 Temperature rise test and durability test under normal conditions
- Mainly assess whether the product will generate excessive temperature rise inside and outside the product during normal use to prevent damage to users, the environment and parts.
- The effect of temperature rise is related to the heat source and heat dissipation conditions of the product, including the power consumption of the heating element, structure, position, parameters and position of the temperature control element, housing material and shape, electrical structure of the device, etc.
- Structural rectification of the product and changes in temperature components can cause changes in temperature rise
- Some products that are used continuously for a long time, such as lamps, should also be subjected to long-term durability tests.

- Mainly assess the safety of the product in the event of an abnormal situation, such as the user's misuse, grid abnormalities, failure of electrical and electronic components
- Product safety is related to the electrical design of the product, the electrical structure and the protection device (fuse, fuse)
▎Electrical strength and insulation performance test
Mainly assess the insulation performance of the insulation system of the product, including: high voltage test, leakage current test, insulation resistance test

Tide test – assess the electrical and insulating properties of the product in a tidal environment,
Overflow test – for performance testing of products that use liquids, such as rice cookers, kettles, etc.
Rain test – for waterproofing products for outdoor and bathroom use
▎ Mechanical performance test
- Product stability, related to the center of gravity and base of the product
- Mechanical hazard, assessing the mechanical strength of the outer casing material, mechanical protection of moving parts, sharp edge protection
High temperature and fire resistance test of tantalum materials
Whether the main assessment materials are in danger of deformation and fire during use
This test is related to the selected material grade and the material temperature of the product during normal temperature rise and abnormal temperature tests.
▎Electrical and electrical components
- Safety-related components (such as power cords, plugs, power switches, fuses, transformers, fuses, thermostats, etc.), should have separate certification
- Switch, transformer can be randomly tested if it is not separately certified, but the test cost is increased
- The parameters of the parts must meet the requirements of the product, especially when replacing the parts. The changed component parameters must be the same as the test, otherwise the corresponding test and cost should be added.
Electric shock protection
Mainly assess the electric shock protection between dangerous electrified bodies and accessible parts
▎Electrical structure inspection
Mainly assess whether the structural parts in the product meet the requirements of safety standards, including power lines, internal wires, terminal blocks, protective grounding, electrical and mechanical connections, etc.
▎ Creepage distance, clearance and insulation thickness
Mainly to check the surface and spatial distance of the insulation between the hazardous electrified body and the accessible parts, and the thickness of the insulating material.
